How does Downtown Explorer AI work?
Simply describe your destination, your interests, and how much time you have. Our AI analyzes parking availability, walking distances, and local recommendations to create an optimized itinerary that gets you to the places you actually want to visit without wasted trips or confusion.
Do I need an account to use it?
No account required to generate your first itinerary. For saving favorites, receiving recommendations, and tracking your explored cities, you can optionally create a free account.
Which cities are supported?
We currently cover 200+ major cities across North America and Europe, with new destinations added weekly. Check the app or website to see if your target city is available.
Features & Planning
Can I customize my itinerary after it's generated?
Absolutely. Edit stops, reorder them, swap activities, or remove places you change your mind about. The app recalculates parking and walking routes in real time as you make changes.
How does the parking solver work?
We analyze real-time parking availability near each stop on your route and surface the nearest open spots. The app reserves optimal parking and provides turn-by-turn directions, accounting for walking distance and accessibility for each destination.
What data sources do you use?
We integrate data from Google Maps, Yelp, local tourism boards, public parking APIs, and user feedback. This ensures recommendations are current and route planning is accurate for your specific trip profile.
Can I download my itinerary for offline use?
Yes. Tap Download in the app to get a PDF with your route map, turn-by-turn directions, addresses, hours, and parking notes. Perfect for areas with spotty cell service.
Billing & Access
Is this app free?
Generating and editing itineraries is completely free. Optional premium features ($4.99/month) include unlimited favorites, early access to new cities, and personalized recommendations based on your explore history.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Subscriptions auto-renew on your schedule, but you can cancel anytime from your account settings.
Can I get a refund if I'm not satisfied?
Yes. Within 7 days of purchase, contact our support team for a full refund, no questions asked.

What devices does this work on?
Downtown Explorer AI is available on iOS 14+ and Android 10+. A web version is rolling out this summer.
Does it work offline?
Real-time routing and parking data require an internet connection. However, you can download itineraries beforehand and use them for offline reference.
What if the walking route seems inefficient?
Our algorithm optimizes for both distance, accessibility, and your stated interests. If you find a better route, let us know. We use this feedback to improve our routing logic continuously.
Who do I contact if something breaks?
Email support@downtownexplorer.ai or tap Help in the app. Our team typically responds within 2 hours during business hours.
Data & Privacy
Do you collect my location data?
We only collect location data while you actively use the app to provide navigation. We never sell or share your data with third parties.
Is my saved itinerary data private?
Yes. Your itineraries are encrypted and stored securely. Only you can access them unless you explicitly share a link with another person.
