No. Between Sessions is designed to complement therapy, not replace it. We're the thinking, reflection, and conversation you do on your own time, between appointments. If you're looking for therapy, work with a licensed therapist. If you're in therapy, we help you get more out of it.
What if we're not currently in therapy? +
Between Sessions works best for couples in active therapy. The prompts are designed around therapeutic insights and goals. That said, if you want deeper conversations with your partner and structure to help you get there, Starter may still be useful for you. Premium features like therapist sync won't apply, but the core journal and discussion guides still have value.
How private is our data? +
Your journal entries are end-to-end encrypted. Your therapist never sees them unless you export and share a specific entry. Your partner only reads what you explicitly make visible. We never sell data, never share with third parties, and never use your entries to train AI models. Privacy is non-negotiable.
Can my therapist access my journal? +
Only if you choose to share it. In Premium, you have an option to generate a summary of your reflections that you can download or print and bring to your session. Your therapist will never have automatic access. You're always in control.
How are the prompts generated? +
