# Marcus Delgado, Buyer's Agent at Keller Williams Sacramento — read of Doorstep (open-house-ai), May 10 2026

> 9 years licensed, solo agent under a KW umbrella, doing 4-6 open houses a month. My brokerage forces KVCore on me. I use Canva religiously and hate it.

## How I got here

I was typing "open house landing page tool" into Google at 10:30pm on a Thursday because I had an 11am showing Saturday and I was already dreading the Canva build. I'd seen a Mailchimp blog post mention "property microsites" once and that phrase stuck. Third result was an ad for this. I clicked because the title said "2 minutes" and I was exhausted enough to believe it.

## What I clicked first

The QR code line stopped me cold. "Most agents link their QR code to a Zillow listing. That places your buyer directly in front of competing agents and competing listings within seconds of scanning." I literally do this. I have done this for three years. I never thought about it that way and now I cannot stop thinking about it. That single sentence is worth the scroll.

The hero stat "3,847 this month alone" also caught my eye, though immediately I wondered if that number is real or just credibility decoration.

## Where I paused

The "5-touch Buyer Follow-Up Sequence" section. Specifically this line: "drafts a 5-email buyer follow-up sequence in your voice." I stopped and read that twice. How does it know my voice? I've been burned before by AI email tools that write in that weird formal-casual tone that no human actually uses. The page doesn't show me a single example email. That's a gap. It's the core product promise and there's no sample.

## What I distrusted

The "+34% Higher buyer follow-through rate" stat. Compared to what baseline? Measured over how long? On what sample? That number is floating in space with no citation, no methodology, nothing. If you're going to put a percentage on a page you need to answer "compared to what" or it reads like someone made it up to fill the hero section.

The testimonials bother me too. Michelle R., David K., Sandra T. First name and last initial. That's the oldest credibility move in the book. At least David's in Scottsdale and Sandra's in Austin -- that specificity helps -- but I'd trust these a lot more with a last name and a brokerage. LinkedIn-findable humans.

Also "1,200+ Agents using it this quarter" alongside "3,847 pages this month alone." The math implies each agent makes about 3 pages a month. That's low if this is really solving the pain they describe.

## What would convince me

Show me an actual generated page. Not a screenshot of a dashboard. A live link to a real property page this thing made. Let me tap through it on my phone and see if the gallery loads fast and the follow-up opt-in actually works. That one demo link would do more than all five testimonials.

And show me one of the 5 follow-up emails. Just the subject line and first two sentences of email 3. If it reads like a human agent wrote it I'm in. If it reads like "Hi [First Name], I hope this email finds you well," I'm out.

## What I'd ask in an email reply

1. When a buyer opts in from the QR code, what information do they give? Just an email? A phone number? Do they see what they're opting into before they submit?

2. My brokerage has compliance requirements on any marketing material I put out -- agent headshot placement, required disclosures, font standards. How much can I actually customize the page or is it a fixed template?

3. When the listing goes pending or sells, what happens to the page? Does it go dark automatically, redirect somewhere, or do I have to manually take it down?

## Verdict: curious-enough-to-reply

The QR-code-sending-buyers-to-competitors insight is genuinely smart and I have not seen another tool frame it that way. The pricing is sane. But I want to see the actual output before I trust the "beautiful" claim. First page is free -- I'll probably just build one this weekend and see what comes out.
