How does document storage work? Is it compliant?

Documents are encrypted at rest and in transit using AES-256. Mortgage AI is SOC 2 Type II certified and MISMO-compliant. You control data retention settings. Documents export to your LOS or document management system at any time. We do not retain documents beyond your configured retention window, and all access is logged for compliance audits.

What if my borrower is not comfortable with technology?

The borrower portal is designed for mobile-first, low-friction document upload. Borrowers can photograph documents with their phone camera directly inside the portal without downloading an app. The system accepts any file format. For borrowers who prefer email, you can configure Mortgage AI to accept documents via a dedicated upload address and auto-route them to the correct file.

How long does setup take?
