## How I got here

I've been trying to figure out how to get weekly pickup summaries out of Duetto without copy-pasting into a slide deck every Sunday. Typed "hotel revenue briefing automation" into Google around 10pm while my daughter was watching Bluey in the next room. This came up on page two, below a couple STR tutorial blogs. I clicked mostly because the title matched exactly what I was hunting for.

## What I clicked first

"Automated Weekly Videos. Remotion generates polished briefing videos every Sunday night. Narrated by Fish.audio. Ready to share or archive by Monday 6am."

That's a real thing I would pay for. That sentence made me keep reading. The Monday 6am part specifically: that's when I'm commuting in and fielding calls from my GM before the morning standup. Having something shareable by then would actually change my week.

## Where I paused

"Honest disclosure: we don't have live customers on this idea yet. We shipped the strategy package; you ship the customer conversations."

I read that three times. So this isn't a product I can subscribe to. This is... a kit to build the product? I came looking for software and landed in a business-idea marketplace. I'm not sure the page knows which one it's trying to sell me on. The hero talks to me like I'm the buyer of a RM tool. Then about two-thirds of the way down it reveals I'm actually the founder of the RM tool. That's a significant left turn.

## What I distrusted

The scoring dashboard: "65/100 Adoptability, $-30,440 Year-1 take-home (Fermi), 1 in 9 Meaningful-success odds (Fermi)." These are metrics for whoever is thinking about building this as a business. Not for me. I don't know what Fermi means in this context. I don't know what "implementation upsell: 5/10" is supposed to tell me as a hotel revenue person who just wants a Sunday briefing.

Also "credibility: 9/10" and "uniqueness: 9/10" read like someone grading their own pitch deck. The studio is scoring itself. That's the part that made me cross my arms a little.

And I have no idea what Fish.audio is.

## What would convince me

If this is a tool for ME to use as a revenue manager: show me one briefing video. One real one, even from a fake property with placeholder data. I want to see what "polished" means when you say Remotion generates it. Is it a slide deck with a voiceover? A dashboard recording? An animation? I cannot evaluate "polished briefing videos" without seeing a sample.

If this is a kit for me to BUILD and sell to other revenue managers: show me one person who bought the $99 tier and actually got to product. Even a Discord message, a tweet, a three-sentence update. The "no live customers" disclosure is honest, which I respect, but the $5 and $99 price tags feel like a confidence gap.

## What I'd ask in an email reply

1. Does the product actually exist in working form, or is the "working code starter" at the $99 tier essentially a scaffold I still have to build out? How many engineering hours are we realistically talking to get to a live demo?

2. How does this connect to the PMS or channel manager? Opera, Mews, Cloudbeds — what's the actual data source for the occupancy pace and ADR figures in the dashboard?

3. "Narrated by Fish.audio" — is this an AI voice? If I'm sending this video to my ownership group every Monday, is there a voice sample I can hear first?

## Verdict: on-the-fence

The underlying idea is genuinely good and I haven't seen it done well anywhere. But I landed here expecting a product and found a concept kit, and the page never really reconciles that tension. If there's a demo video somewhere I can watch in the next 90 seconds, I stay interested.
