# Marcus Delgado, Head of Sales Development at Fieldvine (B2B SaaS, 90 people) — read of Contact Append, May 7, 2026

> 8 years in sales development, 3 years in this seat, currently managing 6 SDRs and a part-time rev ops contractor. We run Apollo + HubSpot + Outreach. I've tested ZoomInfo, Clearbit (RIP), Prospeo, and Datagma in the last 18 months alone.

## How I got here

Searched "enrich lead list CSV without ZoomInfo" Tuesday morning because our Apollo credits ran out mid-campaign and I didn't feel like justifying another $12k annual renewal to finance. Google surfaced this on the second page. I clicked because the meta description actually said "pay per successful contact" and that phrasing caught my eye. I wasn't looking to switch tools permanently. I was looking for a one-off fix for a 400-name list sitting in a spreadsheet.

---

## What I clicked first

The pricing tier was the first thing I scrolled to. Then I went back to the top. The hero line, "Enrich Your Lead Lists in Seconds," is fine, forgettable. What I actually read was the subhead: "Append missing contact info to incomplete lead lists." That's the clearest sentence on the page. I knew exactly what the product was after that sentence. I wish it was the headline.

---

## Where I paused

The FAQ buried a number I actually respect: "Our average match rate is 67% on B2B lists." That's honest. Apollo tells you 85%, ZoomInfo tells you 90%, and then you run 500 names and get 55% back. Whoever wrote that 67% line either ran real tests or has enough clients to have ground truth. I read it twice. It made me trust the other numbers slightly more.

---

## What I distrusted

Three things, in order of annoyance.

First: "3.2x Average Reply Rate Lift." No source. No customer name. No sample size. No methodology. This is the kind of number that appears when someone wants a hero stat but doesn't have a case study yet. It's not a lie, probably. It's just unverifiable.

Second: "We don't scrape, we don't resell, we don't broker data." Then in the FAQ it says they "source from verified databases and cross-check against multiple data providers." Those are the same thing. You're buying data from a broker and re-serving it. The "pure B2B contact enrichment" line sounds like a legal hedge, not a real differentiator. I've seen this framing from four other tools this year.

Third, and this is the one that actually made me raise an eyebrow: the footer says "Built by Wishdeal Studio." I didn't know what that was so I opened a new tab. That tells me this is a studio-built product, not a dedicated company with a team living and dying on contact data quality. That's not automatically a dealbreaker but it does mean I want to know: who is maintaining the 500M contact database? Is there a data team or is this a thin wrapper on a third-party API?

---

## What would convince me

Run my list. Not a demo, not a sandbox with their handpicked test contacts. Give me a free trial that processes a real 100-name list I built, let me see the match rate and spot-check 10 records manually. If the emails are real, the job titles are current, and the match rate is anywhere near 67% on my niche vertical (construction tech procurement), I'll convert same day. I'm not asking for much. The price point ($0.15/contact or $0.10 at scale) is reasonable enough that a 50-contact test would cost me $7.50 and tell me everything.

What I don't need: another webinar, another "talk to sales" for the enterprise tier, or a case study from a SaaS company I've never heard of.

---

## What I'd ask in an email reply

1. The page says 500M+ contacts across 100+ sources. Can you name 3 of those sources? I want to know if this is Apollo underneath, or if there's a real proprietary database here.

2. What's the match rate specifically on mid-market US manufacturing and construction companies? 67% on "B2B" is a broad average. My list skews toward non-tech buyers and most enrichment tools fall apart there.

3. The footer says Wishdeal Studio. Who owns the data infrastructure going forward if the studio pivots or shuts this down? Is there a dedicated team?

---

## Verdict: on-the-fence

The pricing model is legitimately different and the honest match rate disclosure earned credibility. But the missing proof on the reply-rate stat, the vague compliance language, and the studio attribution all add friction I'd need one honest conversation to clear.
